The “Escola Portuguesa de Hudson” was founded in October 1981 by a group of Portuguese parents who wanted to ensure that their children learned the language of their parents and grandparents. Originally, the classes were held in the evening at one of the Hudson public schools. With the building of the new club in 2005, the school moved to the cultural center. The school is funded by parents and supported by the Hudson Portuguese Club. Currently there are two teachers running two classes, each class having their own teacher and learning space.
